"Breaths That Count... The True Story of a Boy, a Dolphin and their Remarkable Friendship"

Saturday, December 29, 2012

Thats the title of Deena Hoagland's recently published book. Its a true story about Deena's life and her son Joe.. and how the Island Dolphin Care (IDC) came to be. IDC is a dolphin therapy program for children with special needs. It's a place where they can find joy and inspiration by swimming with dolphins.

I have the honor of hosting these wonderful people in a rental house I manage in Sierpe de Osa.

Seriously, take a few minutes (ok, 23 minutes) and watch the video below. It will warm your heart, you will probably cry and then be happy. Maybe you would even consider donating to their non-profit organization. They DO make difference in kids lives and THAT deserves recognition!

How Can You Help?
By clicking on "Donate" button below and making your tax deductible donation. Your donation will help Island Dolphin Care provide programs for children world--wide. For more information, browse through their site.

But this blog is really meant to share their story and inspire you. I feel honored to have had a chance to meet them and make their time in Sierpe as easy and fun as possible.
