Turu Ba Ri - The Park Part II

butterfly garden.JPGTuru Ba Ri covers over 90 sq. hectares of tropical forest. During the intense park tour, our guide managed to explain in an entertaining manner what an orchid is, how bromeliads grow, and the importance of banana plants.

He also told us that male green iguana's faces turn bright red during mating season and that American crocodiles can reach lengths of fifteen feet in their lifetime.

But the best part was the delicious traditional Costa Rican style buffet that gave us the fuel we needed for the second part of the day: The Adventure Part.
