Bare Necessities of Life

You will find that even in this remote town, that most of the bare necessities of life can be found.

Communication with the Rest of the World: Internet

Internet cafes are found in central Cahuita and a few are along the gravel road going to Tuba Creek. There is one place that offers wireless internet service for use in town. It is located on the main street beside Cocos Bar (above the Coral Reef restaurant) in the center of town.

Where do I get Money?

There are no banks in Cahuita, so make sure you are well stocked with cash. The closest ATM or bank is in Puerto Viejo or Limon. 

Is there a Doctor in the House?

Red Cross (Cruz Roja) provides emergency service. A small public hospital in Hone Creek provides basic medical services (Clinica Hone Creek: 2750-0220).

The closest hospital is in Limon, offering more advanced medical care.

Gas Stations: Fill 'er up!

Cahuita has no gas stations.  The closest station is ten minutes north, before reaching Cahuita along the main road.
