What the Heck is Twitter?

Twitter is very cool.

"Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?"

You can post 'tweets' about what your doing and sign up to follow friends and businesses you are interested in.You will receive their 'tweets' on your twitter page.

There is also this cool little desktop application (Twhirl) that will let you sign into Twitter and post from your desktop rahter than having to navigate to the twitter page from a browser window, and it will pop up the tweets you receive as they come. It's like an instant messenger but messages are sent to groups of followers instead of YOU specifically.

You can also sign into multiple twitter accounts at the same time using Twhirl and post from each account -- very handy if you have a personal and a business Twitter account!
